The Research, Development and Evaluation Commission of the Executive Yuan (RDEC) launched the “English Service Emblem” certification project in 2007 to identify outstanding agencies that provide high-standard English language services. Mr. T, a foreigner, inquired about applying for the burial subsidy from the Bureau of Labor Insurance as his father had passed away. Mr. T said that he had previously asked his friends and employer to consult relevant government agencies about the application on his behalf.
